Here's why I don't like Clausen right now

I, jpo287 types like a p*ssy, When Peppers batted down his pass, jpo287 never really even tried to get the ball back. He watched it go up and moved towards it but there was no hustle or aggression in his moves. Watch the "Peppers picks the Panthers" video in the link below and watch around the 26/27 second mark. It doesn't look to me like he's even attempting to go after the tipped ball - that's just either weak or cowardly.

I also think all those fumbles at center are because he's afraid of getting flattened by the linemen. And please don't give me this crap about how it is the O-line's fault. They're not playing as bad as most of you think. Clausen's nerves are just rattled and he runs like a scared rabbit at the first sign of pressure. Hard to protect the QB when he's running all around the place.

Now it is early in his career and he does have potential but as it stands now, he's a liability out there.

Fixed, your welcome:D

Of all the things to point out Clausen f**king up on, you choose to pick the one where the play was to throw a screen at Peppers? really?

Well I'm not sure what exactly it means but from the press conference I can assure you Fox did not chose that play. I don't know if that means the OC is indeed responsible for calling the offense and Fox thinks the guy's a retard too, or if that meant that Jimmy made a poor decision on that play.

But of all the things I don't like about Clausen, I honestly felt that one play wasn't so bad. He did looked to me like he tried to go get it back. But he did look like he was afraid of getting hurt opting to not lunge over Peppers like he was afraid to piss Peppers off or something.

Good post.

Clausen getting a ball batted down and picked by a 6'7" freak defensive end is not a referendum on his play. It also doesn't mean he throws a "low ball" because he hasn't adjusted to open throwing lanes better as a rookie. All of that comes with experience.

It could be worse. He could have gotten his ball batted down and picked off last Sunday by a rookie defensive lineman. Just ask Sam Bradford.
