I hate the fact we have a damn secret society running our team where the fans and media get shut out. (not just speaking about this ordeal neither- its just alwasy been that way)

I feel like the dad who just keeps giving his kid money only to not have a f*cking clue what he is doing with it.

It might be difficult if they are only offering prospective new coaches one year deals as well. Lame duck Fox is not good.

I took that to mean current coaches only. I doubt that it would be that way for new coaches. A new coach might not be retained if Fox is gone next year and you are not going to attract quality coaches if you are only offering a one year deal...

Zod, I was actually thinking about that the other night and was going to create a thread about Davidson becoming our next head coach. I think it could be a nice transition with the offense already in place and just needing more agression on defense.

I doubt Davidson will be our head coach. I feel its very likely that we will get some good Defensive coaching in this year. Or it could mean we are switching to the 3-4. Ok dont freak out about that.

For some reason Schefter thinks we may be looking for an OC as well.

As it stands, Schottenheimer is said to be wanted in New York but also curious about the other opportunities. These days there are plenty.

There are six known offensive coordinator openings — Detroit, New England, Oakland, San Francisco, St. Louis, Tampa Bay. Plus Kansas City and Carolina could be in the market for an offensive coordinator.

Schottenheimer would be one of the most sought-after offensive coordinators on the open market. But first he and the Jets must figure out how to sift through their situation
