Can't wake up for school.

The Question

Recommended Posts

You regret all those times you didn't want to take a nap when you were younger huh?

Set your alarm so you wake up to the "Bed Intruder" song. He's climbin' in your window...etc.

It took me until college to absolutely appreciate naps.

I had an 8am my freshman year and didn't have another class until like 350 or something.

Got up, went to class. Came back. Passed out. Every single time haha.

Now I would give anything to have siesta during the work day.

What I did in high school my Junior/Senior year probably wouldn't work out for everyone, but it worked for me. Not only did I enjoy my days better, my grades also went up. One thing to remember is, I didn't pay attention that much DURING school, I just studied that night and learned it on my own by the book, etc, if you can't do that, this may not work, because you WILL find yourself dozing off in class (if it's cold weather, hoodies help you pull this off). Luckily I spend half the day my junior/senior year in a computer class so it was easy staying awake. I used the "I have my head between my hands reading this book" trick to catch Z's too.

But basically, I would come home from school and go right to bed. I found I never slept more than 6-7 hours this way. I'd wake up at like 9-10pm, and then stay up all night and go to school.

I think some people are just night people, and I feel like I am. I had a ton of energy at night. I'd be able to study/homework for a couple hours and then game or do whatever. Like I said, the ability to learn from book/on your own and photographic mind helps.

Surprisingly this helped me quite a bit. I didn't do weed or anything like that. My parents were pretty skeptical of it till I started getting nice report cards, then they didn't care as long as the grades were good.
