Can anyone explain why my team is 1-4?

I put a decent amount of effort into this draft and on paper I have a high caliber team but nothing is panning out and I'm getting pissed, I talked so much crap before the draft to all my friends and now I'm looking stupid haha, help?

i have a team like this. never fails every year in the same league. i always lose a high round draft pick pretty much every year for the past five, but to give an idea. this year i took Ryan Grant in the second round. 3 yrs ago i took Brady in the first. 5 yrs ago i took Shaun Alexander in the first.

I have the worst luck in this league. This week I put up 90 points with a full 8 man roster, and technically lost to someone who isn't managing his team. He had McFadden in, and put up 119 to my 90. Last week he only scored 73. I have manager powers though and adjusted the score cuz nobody should lose to a partial team that isn't being managed.

I don't get it...he beat you with a mismanaged team and you went in and adjusted the score to where you'd win?

not mismanaged. UNmanaged. he hasn't been seen or heard from since the season started. freaked out, and went back to his home town.

i shouldn't have told the actual league manager to let him in the league. players like him have been a problem in the league. they auto draft, and do nothing all year. aren't available for trades or anything else. you might as well have a computer doin' everything then.

I have Greene in one of my leagues too and he hasn't done poo until last night, so hopefully he will pan out. I wouldn't hesitate to propose a trade with him if need be.

I have Anquan Boldin too...he hasn't done very much but I think he will break out next wk vs. the Pats....man, I hope so.

Brees hasn't done very much, so that's why he hasn't given you poo.

I have Shiancoe in one of my leagues as well. He has been hurt and hasn't done much but hopefully Favre can throw to him this upcoming week.

CBS is my favorite. Espn sucks because its so hard to find on the page.

the espn app is good....thats all i use for my lineups is the apps.

i haven't tried the apps. i just use the phone browser to check the score if i'm not at the house.

Did you adjust his lineups during weeks you weren't playing him?

i haven't worked that out yet. i do need to hand him all losses, but some teams play him twice. i need to make them bye weeks after he's lost to everyone once.

just sucks to see a team like that do well. it's more luck than anything. like i said, last week he won with 73. i would have beaten him easily. this week 7 players put up almost 120.

I commish several leagues.

You do not adjust rosters...period...unless told to by the owner of that team.

You haven't worked it out yet? Dude...really? You do not hand losses to people regardless. If he's not active...he's not active and you just don't invite him next year. If it's a pay league, we penalize someone $1 per person on your active roster that's on IR, suspended, or on BYE.

I don't think you handled it properly as if anyone that looks at this sees you just did it for personal gain and worrying about other stuff later.
