The better question: How can anyone justify Clausen over Moore?

The Colts ended up with a record of 3-13 during Peyton Manning's rookie year. He only completed 56% of his passes and threw 28 interceptions. But the Colts never benched him either as he started all 16 games.

Since there isn't a proven, veteran QB on our roster then the best option for Jimmy is to just leave him out there and take his lumps. By all accounts he's a hard worker that wants to keep improving, so he'll continue to improve. Don't crucify the kid after one bad game.

Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco both looked good their rookie years, but for both they had very, very solid running games and a simplified playbook. Clausen is working with the entire playbook and no running game. That's a huge difference.

And Moore had a chance. He's been on the roster for three years, and has started games in two of them. Don't you think the coaches know what they have in him?

Let's see...Clausen unseated Moore after 6 quarters of picks, and has in twice the time, thrown to less talent more often, with half the picks. Besides since everyone on here is defending Moore's picks, saying they're moving the ball, at least JC's fumbles aren't picks! See how ridiculous this crap is getting? How about this...Manning would lead us to 4-12 at best...QB is maybe our 5th biggest concern as a team now...you don't give up on a rookie after one bad game just like he's not Jesus because he played a good turnover-free game on the road vs. the SB champs.

a lot of stufff clearly going on in Carolina we as fans don't know about. Pulling Moore in a game we still had a chance in.....and Fox going w/ Clausen and Fox claiming a winnable game wasn't......doesn't add up.

i hate his throwing motion.....it telegraphs passes...and it appears to hinder his accuracy...matt kinda has a quicker more normal passing motion...he just doesnt appear to have the type of demeanor we need in a qb right now

b/c week 2 he was pulled from a game that was still winnable. Fox claimed it was over....and was admitting defeat.

Only play Clausen has made was during his standard scramble.....and a busted play where NO gave us a charity play. Not impressive at all.

that 4th down play to Gettis doesn't mean anything. Clausen gave us no chance....see what occured after that.

Both plays are examples of why Clausen stinks. That is what David Carr does. Bails on plays and looks to throw on a scramble. That isn't running this offense. He ain't ready.
