The better question: How can anyone justify Clausen over Moore?

There shouldn't be many variables affecting a snap except the center. Taking a snap should come natural, it shouldn't be something that requires the QB to think. The LB can be saying whatever they want, the defense can try and confuse the QB all they want. But if taking a snap is second nature to the QB like it should be then there is no reason to not be able to execute. Plain and simple.

Then ask Brett Farve who might have taken 600,000 snaps why he stills fumbles some. Some of you people act like you played football when you haven't. That's what kills me.

I understand it will happen to even the best QB, they are human and make mistakes. My point is that it is a basic skill that should be learned in practice so in games you can do it without thinking.

Let's not compare Jimmy to Favre. And besides anyone that's watched Brett Farve regularly would know......he STILL doesn't quite have the basics down even after all these years. Look at Brady or Manning for that. Not Favre. The difference is Brett Farve can get away with it while Clausen shouldn't even be mentioned in this same sentence as him.

Also please explain to me how expecting a professional NFL player to know the basics of playing his position suggests I have played. I would think any fan would expect their QB to know the basics.

Was not comparing Brett to Jimmy don't really know how and why that was even and issue to you but that's the poo you do too help your argument.

I was only saying that even the best fumble snaps. Brady does so does Peyton.

Thank you for expressing my point though no game is the same and a QB learn by trial and error thank you.

What are the basics of his position since you know so much?

I never said I know anything, I have already stated I am just expressing my opinion. But throwing motion, taking snaps from center, throwing a slant or out route, ect. I would consider those things basics for a QB.

So please stop saying "He needs too learn the basics" without knowing what the basics are.

So lets go off what you have here.

Throwing Motion

You can practics a throwing motion but you won't know if it works with out going against defender who have studied it and will tried different ways too defend against it. Only way to do that is during a game.

Taking snaps

I've already talked about this one no need to rehash this.

throwing a slant or out route

Again you can throw as many slants and out routes against Gamble and Marshall but it won't simulate how Revis, Ronda and Tracy Porter play against it.

Please show me where I said "He needs to know the basics". You said QBs learn basics in games and I disagreed and stated that I beleive they should learn the basics in practice. Please show me where I singled out any one player and said "he"

Without knowing what the basics are again. You say he needs too learn somthing in practices without knowing what he needs too learn.

Again please show me where I said this "he" person you claim to I keep talking about. I have already explained what I feel are the basics that should be learned. I could be wrong, I never played QB. I am just using what I have seem from watching QBs and practice to make a guess about the basics. Now please show my post where I stated this mystery "he" person.

Right here "you should learn the basics in practice". You type this without know what the basics are which you have admitted.

I can watch sombody put a car engine togther doesn't mean I know the basic of auto repair.

Pretty sure "you" and "he" are different words but ok. I will change my wording. There are certain things I feel every player should learn in practice. Since we were discussing QBs I listed things I feel they should learn in practice. While yes defenders will try to affect their throwing motion or how they throw a route, I think the QB must make an adjustment based on how the defenders are playing. I don't think the QB should be learning those things while in the game. To me, making an adjustment is what you learn in games, learning the things I listed should happen in practice.
