That Post article is misleading in the sense about why Shananhan didn't like him. He didn't like his work ethic. At least the perception which hopefully doesn't turn out to be true long term. For example, one of the Redskins caught Thomas sleeping during a team meeting and took a picture of him on his phone and blasted it out on Twitter. It was a major embarrasment for everyone invovled and was since taken down after Shanahan found out.

Just hand all the bouncers in the city a photo of him and not let him into any clubs. Then contact all modeling agencies and photographers and say he's off limits until January. Then have him go one on one with Beason and have Beason show him a thing or two. Then have him argue with Fox and watch Fox deactivate him for a game. the guy taking the picture, brandon banks, said that it was taken in between meetings. that was overblown. it was just more fuel for the shanny's anti-thomas sentiments, though. thomas just doesn't fit his image of what a professional looks like. fox has some of the same hangups as well.

Look, I'm glad we have another option at WR and I hope he pans out. But can we see if he's going to be a good WR first, before we act like Shanny is a fool and everyone over there was wrong? It's the same old story, we pick up someone elses trash and we suddenly become blind to their past and think he's amazing all the sudden. This kid could be another Jarrett (off the field) easily. I hope he isn't.

i'm just stating the same thing that team members of his were saying. it seems thomas was viewed very differently from how jarret was viewed here.

i'm not claiming he's a good WR at the moment, just that it seems that shanny was more trying to stick to his guns about what a professional looks and acts like on his teams rather than looking at the talent side of it.

i hope he works out. at this point thats all we have.

I don't get why anyone would mind the pickup. We got him on the last year of his rookie contract, didn't trade anything and cut a scrub backup G to make room. He was a high draft pick who's got talent but his head is in question.

Even if he never play a down for us, what's the harm?
