I believe the general problem with Clausen, not just on that play, is that he's thinking too much. He said the game seems to be slowing down for him but he's still really uncomfortable, and it shows. He just came into the NFL, had everything thrown at him left and right, has D coordinators confusing him, doesn't have a receiver he can trust, doesn't have a solid run game to lean on, etc.

Once he can make a majority of the things he has to do automatic he can then start to improve as a QB. He can't be held unaccountable for his mistakes but he should be given a fairly long leash. The only thing we can expect from him is improvement, by the end of the year a LOT of improvement.

      I swear I was about to start a thread about this guy.... Panthers offer a late rounder, but I didn't know his contract was that bad and he was not willing to revised.  I do know this- He was very near the top on Panthers draft board in 2018, they loooovvvvvveeeed him. Since then lots has changed, he has become super injury-prone and a divia....  Low prove deal, why not....unless he's too cancerous.

      He's too quiet to be featured on that show. Plus he's a pros pro, they want toxic and headlines sound bites or what Allens uses for hair products. I don't think Shaq is a big swear word user either.
