I've made a couple jokes at his expense too, so I get it, just tired of the people who have vehement hate for the dude right now and act like he's the reason we're dooooooooooomed.

I have no hate for the guy at all.. he is a rookie and is making rookie mistakes. But to say that people are bashing him because he isn't probowling it is ludicrous. The guys just isn't ready to start right now.

I don't think we really have a quarterback that is worth starting right now, so we might as well ruin the one with some future here!

Also, I wish the handoffs and rookie mistakes were why he wasn't going to the probowl, lol. We would have probably won some games by now :P

Just frustrated, sorry to go off on you, I know you're a reasonable poster.

I personally bash because the Clausen Cheerleaders make me sick. Anyone who has open eyes and a realistic view on what is going on is okay with me. Like Saltman said, it's clear he's not ready to be under center yet.

What would you do real deal...who should be qb and why

I agree he was not ready to play with a terrible offense. I thought this offense was better than it was even when Moore was making mistakes. But it turns out I was putting too much blame on Moore (though the extra picks yesterday didn't help).

Neither Clausen nor Moore is the reason the offense is terrible. They aren't great, but I don't blame them for the running game issues or the penalties or the bad playcalling or the lack of a scheme. It turns out that coaches that live and die by the run are incapable of developing a young passing game.

But someone has to play. All else equal I still think Clausen is better off learning the hard short way rather than the slow long way. The fact is that there is nothing he is going to learn from this offense on the bench unless it's how not to play. He IS the future. Anyone that thinks a pro coach is going to come into Carolina and gamble with another rookie that costs $50 million is crazy. They may bring in a veteran, but Clausen is still the future for now.
