Fiametta actually had some good blocks early in the game yesterday. The O-line is awful, especially the right side. The WR's and QB are just learning the ropes, hard to fault them for predictable play calling and terrible protection.

Lack of production in the running game is unacceptable though, our Rb's are all studs and the O-line should atleast be able to open some gaps for those guys.

Fiammetta and our whole running back cast is playing well.

Our Quarterbacking crew should not be expected to play much better than they have under the pressure our Offensive line permits. The exception would be Clausen's snap-fumbles, those must be coached out immediately.

At WR1, we are clearly weak, but Gettis is playing above expectations. Armanti Edwards needs to improve immediately, because he isn't even useful on special teams yet.

At WR2, LaFell must improve. He appears to be missing his routes, and lining up in the wrong place. We hired Wright to improve our special teams, but he hasn't made plays there. I would consider him a bust at this point. It is good to see our coaches have finally admitted failure and moved past Jarrett.

RT Schwartz has been servicable, but is guilty of false starts, and is clearly weaker than Otah. I fear we will not win any games until Otah is back.

RG Bernadeau is servicable, but makes false starts. This has to be coached out.

R. Kalil is playing well.

LG Wharton playing a little sore, but he's making mistakes on top of it. We paid him the money and he needs to step up and dominate.

LT Gross He's healthy, but he isn't dominating to the extent the money we paid him commands. He needs to step up.

TE King playing reasonably well, but still has hard hands.

TE Rosario is simply not being passed to enough. This man is one of our best receivers and he is getting mostly ignored by Jeff Davidson.

TE Barnidge same as Rosario. We are deep at this position, and we are not utilizing the depth.

OC Jeff Davidson - in my view, this is where we are the least creative. Our lack of creativity owes in part to what can be afforded to our youth, but also our inability to coach up players to something challenging. As a franchise, we do not embrace the chaos enough, instead we appear afraid of it. If Fox is overriding Davidson's calls, then Davidson gets a pass. I doubt it though, we are making lots of penalties on the O-line and Oline coach was Davidson's previous job. I find it hard to believe he can be effective at OC without also participating in the line coaching. Clearly, Davidson is a frustrated man, but he needs to rise above this and have fun. He needs to make teams adapt to an unexpected game plan, instead teams seemed prepared to deal with the same game plan we had for the previous opponent. We are the worst team in the league on first downs, and the reason should be obvious...we always run on first downs unless we are way behind in points. We need balance, and this had to come from the play calling. Our running game is our strength, but when there are 8+ defenders in the box, it is time to pass the football.

The screen pass is the first step. The flea flicker should be present. The wild-cat works sometimes. The reverse can too.
