How can anyone justify Moore over Clausen at this point?

the fact remains, the good passers in today's NFL sat. They sat and learned. Yes, they learned from vets...but they also learned by other means.

Clausen has no business being on the field. So many of you Clausenmaniacs are too busy trying to turn this into a Jimmy vs. Matt things. The best thing for Carolina in a wasted year would be to put Clasuen out there mid to late season when he has a grasp of the game and can start actually doing some constructive stuff to start his career.

the season was a waste before it started. Now, all these Clausen "fans" want him to get totally wrecked b/c forcing him on the field somehow makes him better than Moore........only thing it is doing right now is setting Jimmy back and is going to make it harder on him to have success......and a hance w/ the new coach.

Dude it doesn't change the fact that if Farve wasn't on the packers Rodgers would have started right away. That is the point no matter how you feel Moore doesn't have the resume and didn't have the start too keep Clausen on the bench.

Marshall still has value and their is a better chance he is back on this team then Moore.

Marshall is playing for a big contract. Moore was playing for his football life.

If Moore started for the entire season then he too would be playing for a bigger contract.

Not much but I don't get how that relates. Moss only got a 3rd. Is that a reflection of his value to the Vikings?

We are talking about 34 year old wr at the end of his carear still got a 3rd.

You were talking about D-will and Kalil who I said have more value too other teams. So losing them without compensation is a bad move on us. Losing or more likely not signing Moore back is not considerd a big thing because he doesn't have value. So don't compare Moore with Dwill and Kalil.

That is true but then that brings up the "if this happened" argument so no point in going there.

The point is as the team is right. Their is a very small chance of making the playoffs no matter who starts. So now it is time for us too learn what we have with the player who have better chances of being on this roster after this throw away season.

Using that logic, everyone who likely won"t be here next season should be benched in favor of younger guys. We think Williams will leave, Marshall likely will, it is even possible Smith could. You can say they are playing for value, but you also risk them losing value. With our horrible line play Williams isn't getting many yards so his value won't increase. Our defense stays on the field which will cause Marshall to get tired and look bad which won't increase his value. I think if you are going to use that logic to justify Clausen starting, then it should be used to start all our young guys who will be here next year. They need experience just as much as Clausen does.

this seems like an old post from late last season when everyone was all over matt moore. "the future of the franchise". he did well, but I also remember Dan Morgan being on here and talking with us and basically saying he didn't see the talent YET. pressure is on here in charlotte, and no one is stepping up. sucks. dan just started a blog too. www.danmorganblog.tumblr.com.
