so who else wanted to break judas peppers' finger off when he "quieted" the crowd?

Fwiw, yesterday just proved that we really didn't need to resign him and pay all that money. No doubt the interception he made was a great play, but it certainly wasn't a game changer. And after that point, he really didn't do all that much. Certainly nothing to justify the amount of money he is making for Chicago.

Our defense played well enough after early struggles. Unfortunately, yesterday also proved that we should have spent some of that money we saved by letting him go to Chicago on some offensive players.

Pep didn't have to do anything yesterday... lol...

I think that Peppers is a very good player, one of the best in his game at his position. And I don't agree with those who say he takes plays off more than other defensive ends. I also don't blame him for leaving.

But at more than a million a game, he needs to do something every game, else its a waster of money. Which is why I am glad we didn't resign him. I just wish we had used the savings to bring in some offensive talent. With or without Peppers, we would still be a very bad team this year. More than likely, we would still be 0-5 even with him.

wtf is wrong with you guys?

The guy left to go play on another team, get over it.

When are you all going to realize that the NFL is one big fraternity and most of these guys are more concerned about the $$ than loyalty and the success of the team?

That's why you cheer like hell for the Brad Hoovers and Nick Goings and when another greedy player leaves for the big bucks don't even give him a second thought.

In case you didn't notice, he had a pretty big play early on when we were trying to answer their score...

That set the tone for the rest of the game, which isn't anything we haven't already seen all year (our offense being lethargic garbage)...

He also made those average lineman around him better while he was in there...

I did notice. And in case you didn't notice, our own defense had several interceptions, that could have been game changing if our offense was even average. Do you really think that without Peppers play, our offense would have scored the points necessary to catch Chicago at that point in time. Have you watched any of our games this year? We only have four td's for the entire season, and Steve Smith has two of them.

Having Peppers wouldn't make our offense any better. We would suck with or without him.

It isn't like we were going against Peyton Manning or Tom Brady out there... just saying...

Some people act like because Pep didn't have 10 sacks this game that he is obviously garbage and unworthy of being a member of the vaunted Carolina defense...

I'm so glad we let Pep and others walk and spent money on rookie WRs with brick hands and gimmick roles, and a rookie QB that we aren't coaching to correct his poor release and immature mechanics... We are so on the right track guys!

You would have to be a classless asshole to boo him in the first place.

No actually, they're Panthers fans. Not some blind Pep's apologetics. Seem like some of you Pep's apologetics are turning on your team already like fairweather fans with being glad Pep left the team & glad he destroy us or something. Sorry! :D

Meh, it was a big play and he was getting booed lowdly before it (I was one of the folks booing at the top of my lungs when they announced his first tackle) so he deserved to react.

I like Peppers, but I'm going to boo him when he's playing us because that's my job as a Panthers fan.

listen dewd, first its "apologists". Second, you do not have the call on who is or is not a fan. Neither do I.

But if you participated in any way or would have participated in any way had you been present in the booing and hate-laced bantering Pep got on his return yesterday you are a classless asshole in my book.
