We need Samoan players. Honestly, the football programs these kids grow up in in American Samoa, led and financed by a number of former NFL players, is just amazing. Really is turning out some of the best prospects from anywhere in the US and it's territories. Generally they are great young men with a lot of knowledge of the game.

American Samoa probably produces for pro football players per square mile of any place in the world.

When I hear they are Samoan, I immediately upgrade my opinion of them.

We use our 2nd and 3rds on trash WRs, terrible QBs, and broken RBs. None of this day one starter crap, pfft.

I remember the great Bill Walsh say samoans were the best football players. Short, thick, wide, and tough. I think Bill paracels said something similar. Basically called them fire hydrants.

Why though?

Don't get me wrong, it's an Arizona guy, I'd love him to be a Panther, but he's probably going to be a 2nd round pick and we have a full starting OL, I'm not really on board with drafting someone in the 2nd who best case scenario this year won't see a single snap on the field outside of the FG unit.

We have far too many holes to draft a backup OL in the 2nd, even if they should be a future starter for us down the line.
