not saying Clausen is a bust, just saying he looks terrible.

This game was far and away his worst in every aspect of his game. His strengths in the past were thought to be his ability to move in and out of the pocket and find the open man. Today, he couldn't find anyone but his checkdown and he consistently missed open receivers.

I had hoped this would be his break out game.

Yes, you can say HOF Players have terrible rookie years, but there's usually more to their numbers. How many HOF QBs really had 20 some yards passing in a game? =| I bet more fail QBS have had numbers like that than HoFs.

I hope Clausen turns out to be an amazing player, but I'm not holding my breath any longer.

I think you saw why Moore ISN'T starting and likely won't after the bye. I think if they had left Clausen in, you may have seen Moore in two weeks.

I've been on the Clausen bandwagon ever since we drafted. I've even tried to remain blind to the things he's doing and writing them off as rookie mistakes. (Even though other rookies aren't doing anything like it.)

But now, I've decided to step off the bandwagon. I think he needs to sit... For a while longer. Maybe a few weeks. Maybe the rest of the season. I don't know how much is attributed to the toe injury, his lack of knowledge, or the anemic offense. But, I think the kid needs to chill out for a couple of weeks.

If that means turning to Moore, so be it. If that means turning to Pike, so be it. I'm not sure what I want right now.

All I know is I want Fox and Davidson gone. Right now.
