At the half: Fasani time

There's a QB follies tape being made today, and both sides are participating equally.

Todd Collins has thrown three picks at the half, but the Bears still have a comfortable lead thanks to the running game and defense.

Jimmy Clausen ran a toss sweep to himself deep in his own territory, losing control of the snap and chunking it backward to no one in particular. Coupled with his earlier pick to Julius Peppers, and he's had quite a day himself.

Collins has a 12.9 rating at the half, Clausen a 18.1.

The only spark the Panthers have shown (other than camping under Collins passes), came when rookie WR Armanti Edwards lined up in the shotgun (their "Mountaineer" package).

An end-around to David Gettis lost 6, then Edwards took the next play up the middle for 7 before Clausen came back in.

After a ridiculous first eight minutes, the Panthers defense has settled down a bit.

Matt Forte has 11 carries for 131 yards and two scores at the half though, and the Bears won't need to do much else.
