Well if you think about, they're probably offering up a 3rd and a 5/6 in 2012. We'd get a 3rd most likely as a compensory pick if Williams walked, just a year later.

If there is indeed a lockout, then a 3rd in 2012 is probably better than one in 2011 also. I'd say a 2nd rounder would be the bare minimum to even start negotiations.

LOL Did you guys hear on FOX what they just said about Lynch. They said the Bills never fully shopped him and called around the league and there were teams willing to give up more than what they got for him.

BTW Lynch still got a 4th and a 6th, which basically equals a 3rd rounder.

DWill is alot better than Lynch. I'd have to think you could get at least a 2nd, maybe a 1st if you find a really desperate team in "win now" mode that wants to make a run at a championship. IE: Packers

i think if we are staring at an 0-5 record and our F.O has used the past offseason as a cost-saving "business" first mentality with our players, that all trades for D-Lo, J-Stew, and Sutton need to be looked at. With Goodson as the wild card and still having 2 of the above mentioned RB's still on the roster, if a good trade comes across the table, we need to do it. With the youth movement, purging of bad contracts and old players, Hurney and Co. need to decide if they intend on re-signing Williams. If the answer is no or leaning towards not, then continue with the business approach that they have taken and ship him out. I love our double trouble backs and would hate to see them broken up, but I can't feasibly see how we can retain both guys for the foreseeable future.... especially with a lockout/salary cutting attitude on the horizon. Deangelo was a workhorse at Memphis and his legs aren't as fresh as some would hope approaching 30. If we could get a James Jones + draft pick or something that gets back that 2nd rounder that we lost for AE, then do it. We are the youngest team, have 3 rookie WR's and a rookie under center. We are re-F'ing-building so why hold onto a back that is not going to see the playoffs or come close to a ring for another 2-3 years.... when he is 31 years old. Big Picture vs. immediate
