nothing wrong w/ saying a kid who isn't ready to be on the field......should be on the bench. Wanting to put a kid on the field who simply doesn't belong yet is just dumb. Clausen can't handle basics right now......he won't learn anything until he is ready to be on the field to learn.

Josh Freeman at least made an occasional play. Good throw here and there. So far the only thing Clausen has hit is wide open receivers, the other team, and the turf with the football.

He threw nice balls to king and lafell, neither of one of 'em caught them.

he threw high to gettis, but he made the reception.

the fact he's checking down is showing he's recognizing he needs to get the ball out fast. the problem is that with the kind of offense we run, he's really primarily throwing when we need 10 yards or more, so check downs aren't that helpful.

I hope he'll be fine because I think he has what it takes, but we'll see.
