Many of you keep arguing that this is a rebuilding year which is why we stink so bad.

This is a "gutting year." A precursor to rebuilding because the lockout is coming.

2010 - clear out the team. Don't spend any money. Make sure the team is young and cheap

2011 - ZZZZZZ Lockout. Get rid of Gamble, Gross, and anyone making over $5M if possible. .

2012 - Now we start rebuilding. Might actually have some draft picks to work with

2013 - 8-8 with some FA pick ups

2014 - Playoffs

2015 - Stadium controversy by new owners

I'm pretty damn good at predicting these things, so plan on the above.

I agree that we're not in full rebuild mode yet. We're basically half way there, which seems like a waste of a season IMO.

We're not winning anything this year, so go ahead and ship out the aging vets for draft picks. Stockpile as many picks as possible for the 2011 and 2012 drafts, clear the cap room for some key FA pickups and come out swinging in 2012.

The way we're doing it is drawing out the rebuilding process by at least a year or two.

Yeah exactly. And it's not necessarily a bad plan. We may be much better positioned come 2012-2014 than many teams

nah, you're a negative creep and a pessimistic little troll who gets off on predicting as many negative things as possible and beating your chest when one of those few things happens. you celebrate in misery and are only comfortable when things are bad. when things are going good you feel out of place and are looking for how things can screw up hoping that they do so you can get back to your cozy little dark damp cave of an existence.

You guys are insane. Right now, we're holding a Pro Bowl Center, Middle Linebacker (who is playing WLB right now), a Pro Bowl Running Back, Pro Bowl Receiver, and a Pro Bowl Left Tackle, and you want to clean house because a lock-out may happen?

We're the youngest team in the league and we've done a good job of clearing out alot of the bad contracts we had. The only problem I see is that we aren't stockpiling draft picks like just about every team that successfully rebuilds.

This is a pretty big problem though as the FO has shown a complete inability to trade guys at the right time. We couldn't even trade Dwayne Jarrett when we had the chance for f**ks sake.

Nothing really to do with a lockout and I'm not suggesting trading our young core players, but some of the aging vets that are a year or two away from being done in the NFL still have trade value.

Panthers seem to always hang onto these types of guys, squeezing out every last possible snap from them until they have zero trade value and we just have to release them. That's not exactly a good way to expedite the rebuilding process.

Were can't be a good team until we get out, sign some all stars, have espn rub us off daily, and THEN we'll be ready to contend.

Everyone knows you can't win without all stars.

Or at least that's what "fans" like this would like you to believe.
