Donovan McNabb is the greatest QB in history

yes, getting to the NFC champ game and blowing it, year after year after yeat. That is not a good thing if you lose. I admit my dislike for the eagles, but they have had some good teams. Not being able to 'finish' all falls on the coach and sometimes the QB. His fat ass should be removed.

Hard to give up on it when you get so close year after year.....many teams say it but the Eagles have always been 1 or 2 pieces away from winning it all. Will the McNabb/Reid combo ever win a title? I doubt it ...especailly now, but it is much more complex that just those two people. Oddly enough I think either one of them is capable of winning the big one, but maybe just not together. Something tells me those 2 will have one more shot at it next year though.

Only if their DEFENSE would have stepped up on 4th and one, they could have run out the clock or even scored again with that field position. To put blame on the QB unless he has 6 turnovers is just ignorance. Tre Thomas didnt have a great game either, giving up sacks that caused a fumble. But it is all McNabbs fault. It would be so easy to replace him with a more competent QB since there are so many out there.

Since when do the fans make personel decissions?

I am fairly confident neither is going anywhere now but like most teams, some things will have to change.

We get it....you hate theMcNabb/the Eagles, and their fans, King Taharqa thinks he is great. Like with most things, somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

I'd sure like to be ordering a Bears #5 McNabb jersey for next season.

if you like 2nd/3rd/4th place year after year then fine. Keep them. When you lose the big game (nfc championship game) year after year...keeping the same coach is just ignorance.

I see we will never agree about Mr. Reid or McNabb. As someone mentioned earlier, somewhere in the middle of all of this is the truth. Either way, they lost another NFC championship game. Tell me it is better to be there and lose then to not make it if that makes you feel better.

Warner has Fitz and Boldin, Mcnabb has??????

Actually only Fitz yesterday. And a mediocre D.

McNabb has always had that super amazing Jim Johnson D.

The media couldn't talk enough about the benching of McNabb for that one game. Poor McNabb. He had to overcome the odds during this year.

Not much said about Warner and his 3 YEARS on the bench. Dude was left for dead, almost retired and took not just ANY team to the Super Bowl.

The freaking Arizona Cardinals. Say that out loud. Stunning.

Warner was FLAWLESS yesterday. He was playing the better more seasoned and Pro Bowl laden D. Not McNabb.

I do NOT blame the loss on McNabb at all though. He played his butt off.

Keep this in mind. This is the 3rd time Reid lost to a coach in his 2nd year.

as much as it hurts, ill take that over being awesome one year and losing in the second round then going 7-9 or 6-10 then being great again then sucking over the same time period.

alas, the panthers and eagles have the same number of super bowls and nfc championship game wins in the past 8 years.

McChoke has a 1-4 record in the NFC championship game

I honestly don't under stand how people say McNabb chokes in big games. Every playoff game is huge. Beating Dallas at the last game of the season was a big game, beating minny the week after was a big game and beating the defending superbowl champs in their house was a big game.

McNabb did miss some guys in the first half, which could have been the difference, but the the whole team is to blame for this loss, NOT just McNabb. Greg Lewis dropped a perfect pass, McNabb missed some wide open guys, Reid and Johnson got their game plan butchered in the first half. The defense got owned in the first half and couldn't hold on to the lead. Akers missed an extra point and a FG.

I dunno about that pass to Lewis being perfect...it was over the wrong shoulder and Lewis had to adjust. Should it have been caught? Probably so by someone other than Lewis. :)

In the long list of reasons we lost the game, McNabb is way down at the bottom for sure. It would be nice to one day see him finish off a game winning drive (without the help of Freddie Mitchell :)) in an important game. Honestly, I just have no confidence anymore that is going to happen when the ball is in his hands with 2 minutes to go and we are down by a score or less. Regardless, I think the chance of that happening is still there and am happy that it looks like he will be our QB again next year.

As a Panther fan, I would love to pretty much be sure that my team (like the Eagles) will be in the playoffs every year so you DO have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl. Not winning it eventually probably is frustrating, so if a new coach or new QB is needed to get over the hump, then go for it. It's just that you have to bring in someone better at coach or QB and there are not many that are. Just like here, we could get rid of Jake, keep our fingers crossed and HOPE and PRAY that whoever comes in is better for the team and the system. Since you are so sure McNabb is not the answer, what is?

Good luck to all those that support him and reid, personally i like them losing year after year.

i'll take winning the superbowl in 86, sucking, winning in 90, sucking, winning in 2007 then never winning at all and getting teased year after year.

Again JDL, avoid the question and not give an answer. You are all boobs and no brain.

Well your Giants have the one Super Bowl that Eli will be a part of. I am not at all an Eagles fan, Panthers fan, I just have to redicule the ignorance displayed by people like you who say McNabb sucks or whatever you said. McNabb takes a poo and out comes Eli. They won last year despite Eli and that their DC came up with a great scheme that was mimicked this year and was countered by running right up the middle. You don't have an answer to WHO the Eagles should replace McNabb with b/c there is not a realistic answer. Those boobs are nice, your responses are about as worthless as the response that same girl woulda made.
