After watching Cardinals game.. I realize our coaches....

Are pretty terrible.

The Eagles went to half-time down about the same amount as us. While they ended up losing, by a touchdown, their coaches obviously made needed adjustments in the locker room and came out and made it a ball game.

I don't care what anyone says, our coaches get out-coached all the time, and I wish we could get some guys in here that make adjustments. I agree with some other posters, it's going to be a long year with the same coaches, maybe we'll get lucky and pre-game plans work out throughout all the games, but then again, it may be another 2008 and we fail to make adjustments.

Really? What I saw was that the Eagles defense gave up 1 fewer point than the Panthers did and got burned by Fitz just as bad, even though they came in the game telling everybody that they were gonna double him all day, plus the Cardinals didn't have the advantage of the other teams offense turning the ball over 6 times today.

The only reason this game was closer than ours, was that the Eagles offense was able to move the ball and put points on the board.

the difference was the qb. mcnabb got them back in the game after the d blew it in the 1st half. jake stopped us (as did not running it) on O, the cards didnt. thats the biggest difference.

and mc we moved it twice into the redzone only to get picked off, which was a huge difference than mcnabb and co getting it in.

This is not ALL McNabb. The coaches, again, called plays etc to CAPITALIZE on his skills.

McNabb had one phenomenal quarter and three iffy ones. You don't win the big games that way.

Most of the day his passes were off. Commentators made mention of it a lot, also of the fact that he's 1-4 in the biggest games of his career (1-5 if you count the Super Bowl).

McNabb is essentially the QB version of Marty Schottenheimer.

Most of the day his passes were dropped. He brought his team back to take the lead in the 2nd half. On the final drive of the game with 3 minutes left in the game not a single running play was called as Donovan was asked to pass the ball every single play. 375 yards passing and 3 TDs, McNabb was not the problem today. Keep in mind he did all this without an Anquan Boldin & Larry Fitzgerald to throw to.

McNabb's never been especially accurate, not like a Manning, Brady or Palmer. He gets good stats because he plays in a West Coast offense based on high percentage short passes. That, plus his ability to run makes him a good QB for a WCO (same factors as Garcia) but take him out of that system and you'd see a difference (again, same as Garcia).

He's great for what they do, but all WCO quarterbacks are overrated.

The Cards actually scored more points in the second half against the eagles than they did against us. How is that a good second half adjustment? That was minus all the turnover possessions we gave them. We got our butt handed to us not because of the coaches but because Jake had a horrible day and turned it over 6 times.

Please. the Cards were calling dive plays the whole time after the half, they were running out the clock in the 3rd quarter against us. if they wanted to score another 20 points they could've.

Well they wouldn't have been able to do that had we scored when we had the ball rather than give it right back to them. I just stated a fact. The turnovers cost us that game more than the defense did.
