Armanti Edwards has sea legs for first Carolina Panthers game

Apples to Oranges. To my knowledge, we did not trade up to get Dwanye Jarrett, nor did we draft him to play out of position from his college resume.

FFS... here's the bottom line folks.

UNTIL Armanti Edwards can start a game, and convincingly show us that he brings a level of athleticism worth trading a draft pick away for, then we have every right as a fan base to level criticism at the Front Office for making the move they did to get him. There's a lot of expectation when you make moves outside of the box.

Now... that does not mean he can't, or he won't be worth it. It's just simply that the return hasn't been worth the investment YET

You must not be much of a business person. And if you are one, you take predictable risks

I don't think that what he was trying to say Geronimo. I think he's saying they both blow...opinion killer

Tyke has had Steve Smith, Dwayne Jarrett, and 3 rookie WRs to work.

Not to mention, one of which is learning a new position, and all 3 of which have come along nicely this season.

Anyone who says he isn't doing a decent job, is a moron.

You obviously don't remember when people were shouting about Armanti being a 'thug' around here and breaking into shops and stealing poo. But by all means let's overreact at sarcasm. I didn't know /sarcasm was mandatory, but don't worry I'll provide next time for the mentally obtuse

You guys do realize who wrote this article don't you? Gantts been polishing Edwards' knob since before the draft. I like the kid and all but to say he is a project is being kind at this point.
Really? What is the generally accepted timeline for a project to contribute?

Hmm, So the majority were alright with Jimmy Clausen sitting out an entire year to develop but when it comes to a player changing positions and trying to learn it is completely unexceptable.

Oh and don't forget Jimmy was predicted by some to be a top 10 draft choice.

Makes way to much sense

Most of you think you know what you are talking about......why?

What was it Art Linkletter's program was: "Kid's Say the Darndest Things".

Some of the pure junk that some posters put out is rancid.

Armanti Edwards is a better person than 99.9% of you people.

Never known him to get or be in any trouble. Any made up junk is just that, junk and lies.

Did everyone think he would be a Steve Smith clone as of the first game? I doubt it from your posts, so what is the problem. Considering he was trying to learn the Panthers method and terminology on PR, KR, WR, and QB, I would think it would blow your minds.

You don't draft players in the NFL because they are nice guys.

No one on here wants AE to be a bust, I would assume that everyone wants him to be the next SS. What we are pissed about is that we gave up a 2nd rounder for a project/developmental pick, and we are a bad team, in need of some true NFL talent.

You pick up developmental and project players at the bottom of the draft, or in undrafted free agency.

You must admit that the FO did not give up a 2nd round pick with the plans to have him inactive while he gets his legs. 2nd rounders should be competing for the starting position. Clausen is. LAfell is. Hardy is. Gettis is.

The reality is they could have gotten him in the 7th

They made a mistake. And now the only hope is to see if he develops.
