Our offense was better this year because Jake was healthy and we had 2 1st rd picks. We can't do very much this year because-

A We used a lot of this years draft last year.

B We don't have a lot of money for free agents.

I don't think money is going to be that big an issue. I feel pretty confident that between Peppers' leaving (which should free up cap space) and other off-season Hurney maneuvers, we'll have the dough to do what we need to. Marty is pretty good at coming up with creative ways to get what we need. I agree with the general tone of the thread, which to me seems to be that we got our offense back in '08, and now we'll focus on our D in '09. I choose to be optimistic - I'm already looking forward to 2009 opening day at BoA!
