Verizon 4G coming to Charlotte

Here's the cities they are rolling 4G out in...

So unless you live in one of those, doesn't matter for now...

I've searched around and found nothing specific, but it sounds to me like none of the existing phones will support this and that they are going to be releasing new phones with 4G capability.

Someone else look and tell me if this is right or not.

They are giving in less now I think. I was just 20 days away from my new every two discount, and they wouldn't budge on not giving it to me. I wasnt cursing though.

Isn't that because you already get a month before your real two years?

Dang. When I went in May, I was a month (maybe 2?) before my new every 2.

post the date time and which store you go to. Id like to see that. haha

btw, went into a VZ store today and asked them if youd need a new phone for 4G, she said yes....for whatever thats worth from a Verizon store person. I think i caught her off guard since i jedi mind tricked her into answering a simple question having not gotten on "the list".

My storm1 broke in the spring. Instead of waiting a few days for a new Storm 1 to be shipped( who can go with out a phone that long these days) I upgraded to a Storm 2.

Now, i have to wait until April to upgrade with any discount at all. Which, now is fine with me, with possible Iphone/4G / New Droids that might be available. Like i said, my storm 2 screen cracked last week. If it doesnt make it, ill activate my old MOTO Q

I'm going to thankfully have to wait until may 2012 befor I worry about any new4g or iPhones on big red. I am very happy with my Droid 1. It works great since I removed the task killer and I'm able to do most of my web browsing on it lol.

I will say that my wife is looking foreward to a possible iPhone on Verizon. She loves her I touch and would love to have it as a phone. Me I think I will stick to my Droid.

I just don't get that? That's them essentially saying "No, we won't take your money!"

My contract ends on 4/27/11 but i can get a new every 2 on 12/27/10. So you can get a new every 2 4 months in advance.

yeah but you have to pay a $20 penalty for upgrading early when you do that. as opposed to getting a $50 credit.

i did it because they were running the BOGO deal on droids so I still came out saving money.
