but u can't give below a 60? I is confused..

Nope. Even if students don't turn in their work. Its supposed to be a way of "giving students a fighting chance." So if they're lazy and don't do poo, they deserve at least a 60 so when the realize at the end of the semester that they're failing, they have a chance to do a little work and still pass.

Uh, not everyone. South America was settled by the Spanish and Portugal, who were among the biggest land grabbers besides the British of course.

Everyone I know in Brazil speak Portuguese. (And Brazil is no small country either.)

Brazil (pronounced /brəˈzɪl/; Portuguese: Brasil, IPA: [bɾaˈziw]), officially the Federative Republic of Brazil[6][7] (Portuguese: República Federativa do Brasil, (help·info)), is the largest country in South America. It is the world's fifth largest country, both by geographical area and by population.[8][9] It is the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas and the largest lusophone country in the world.

That's my History lesson for today kids.

Once in English class the girl sitting next to me (I think her name was Missy if that matters) asked loud enough for the entire class to hear: "If China is on the other side of the world then why don't they fall off the bottom?" Hilarity ensued. Class was ruined (well as much as an English class can get ruined).

This was in eleventh grade.

Today in my first period, I was teaching weather expressions in Spanish. One of the activities from the book was asking what the weather was like in certain places in a certain month. For example:

How did I do teacher?

Is English-speaking Belize, Guyana or the Falkland Islands considered South America? Or French Guiana? (I wonder what language they speak there)
