The off-season move that probably doomed us was not re-signing Moose.

It was because we relied on Moose that we don't have a good #2 WR. And now we're stuck with what we've got. You can't get rid of all the older vets at every other position to go a younger, faster route and then just keep one because you've relied on him, that's contradicting yourself.

I don't agree. It wasn't our reliance on Moose, it was our inability to draft a good replacement for him. We tried it at least twice with Colbert and Jarrett, and both eventually failed.

The bad move made that has effected this season was releasing Jake. Plain and simple. Jake was done as a starter. Heck, he should have ben third on the depth chart. But he was there last season for Moore to get up with between offensive series. Moore's performance last year was no fluke. Jake was there to provide him guidance and advice. He should have been here this season. Our young QBs have NOBODY to turn to who have 'been there'. We're paying the bulk of Jake's salary while he plays elsewhere, why not then KEEP HIM while we're doing so! Geezz, what a dumb@$$ move that was!..
