Armanti Running With The #1s

On WFNZ 610 The Fan just a few minutes ago, one of the guys said he talked to David Gettis after the practice session. He asked Gettis who was running with the number one team this week, and Gettis replied, "All of the rookies". Meaning, Armanti, LaFell, and himself.

Looks like we may be seeing Armanti, boys.

Seeing as though they are the only 3 that know the play book, this isn't surprising.

I figured this was a given.

I didn't know if it was going to be Clowney or Armanti. If it was Clowney, it was definitely going to be a huge tell as to what they think of Armanti.

I figured Clowney was a long shot for this week. Not knowing the playbook and having to try to learn it on a short practice week.

As long as Armanti does well Clowney will be our 4th WR and depending on who does worse might eventually replace Lafell or Edwards for number 3 on the depth chart.

Clowney said he took a lot of reps with the 1s and the 2s Wednesday, and he's planning to play a good deal this week.

Especially with all the passing that we do to our TEs that are lined up as split ends and flankers.
