The comment I made about both sides being guilty was still true...

Owners are the biggest to blame, but the players union has got to understand the rookie pay scale needs some serious cutbacks... I haven't looked into the CBA talks in a while, but the last time I did this was one of the major talking points of the owners, and I tend to agree...

Look at the Patriots... They stockpile picks in the middle and late rounds of the draft... They know they can have a good shot at getting players in those positions for a lot cheaper, and therefore much less monetary risk...

Greg Hardy could have been a first rounder if certain things would have fell in to place right, and at this point, I am glad we got him as late as we did...

That said, I would have been a little pissed if we had paid him first round money and had him turn out to be a garbage pick... (read Rashard Anderson, Rae Carruth, Jason Peter)

The reason why green bay opened up their books is because of that fact u just posted. u really think the teams with the big time profits are going to do the same thing?

The reason gb did is because theyre legally obligated to since they're basically owned by the fans.

Btw just to make you hate Richardson more your PSLs built the stadium and instead of a stipend or anything for your investment you annually have to pay more to sit there 10 times a year lol

Hooray shady (yet cunning) business practices.

The owners claim they don't make $$.

You have an owner like JR who comes in and lets the fans pay for the stadium and refuses to open the books. And gets the benefit of massive TV deals. And is operating on a shoestring budget this year. And is leading the fight to take NFL away in 2011. And throws people out of games for cheering.

Why are we not booing his ass?

Seriously I'm keeping track of everyone supporting the owners and I promise you'll be the first against the wall you worthless class traitors.

Maybe not everyone wants to be bourgeois.

You need to get the revolution moving though.

fyi, I'm not supporting the owners, just explaining why they are fighting for what they are. The NFL should not be viewed as strictly a business proposition. I'm a PSL owner and pissed at JR for what he's doing.

True, the land was basically given to him, we paid for the stadium by buying psl's, then the corporations bought naming rights to the stadium and anything else they could so he made money by all this before a game was played in Charlotte. His investment was paid back, mine never will be
