Latest on the 2011 Lockout

there is a 100% percent injury rate in the NFL, and the average career is four years long.

the owners are already multi millionaires, make more money than god during the season, and will continued to be paid through the holdout. after acquiring the capitol necessary to purchase a team through whichever means they choose to do it, they have literally no risk. none. whatsoever. the product sells itself.

who has more risk?

I understand what you are typing, but other than time/practice/god given skills, how much money has an NFL player "put up" to be able to play in that league. The owners shelled out and continue to shell out millions upon millions to have a league in the first place, not the players though, they come in already in the black.

And Fiz, I know that you are smart enough to know that there is no business in the world that is risk free.

Yeah, there is one thing ill say. They ALL are greedy, the NFL is a huge industry and they make TONS of money, I don't understand how they can't sacrifice something to still have a paycheck. Its like millions of dollars isn't enough, they need billions. Just look at Dez Bryant he had a 50,000 dinner bill, most people don't make that in a year working 42 hours a week.

Sooner or Later, they will understand what they have lost once its gone.

Not trying to talk smack, but I understand the points of both sides. That said, I don't really give a poo about either of their rich plights, just get it done and let's make sure we play foosball next year.

If I owned a team or business, how ever you want to look at it, I would expect to make more than my employees!

a player invests 20 ish years of their life getting good enough to play, not doing other things because obviously football is time consuming, then sacrifices countless years of health on the back end. And the overwhelming majority of this is done through schools and parents that get nothing from the NFL.

Without millions doing this to produce the small number of NFL players the owners would have nothing.

If you're not able to recognize time and health as an investment I don't know what to tell you.

And Fiz, I know that you are smart enough to know that there is no business in the world that is risk free.

youre right there could be a lockout

Individually, I'm sure the owners are

I would be willing to be that no owner of any company makes more than the collective body of their employees. I know the owner of my company makes not even half of what we pay out annually in salaries

BTW, I'm not taking any sides here, I just want some football next season!

I don't think Owners make as much as there employees combined, but im sure they make a pretty penny, but they also have ALOT of bills to pay.
