"Village of the Damned" is a remake of the classic. Mostly faithful to the original but with some updating (and it stars the late Christopher Reeve).

"The Thing" is considered a remake, but really isn't. Anyone who's seen the original could tell you.

"Prince of Darkness" is lesser known, but might be the scariest of the bunch.

And of course, "They Live" is known for having both one of the best fight scenes and one of the best movie lines ever :D
