3rd down becomes tripping point for Panthers

Game 2- 31%

I don't think the offensive side is were the 3rd downs trip the Panthers, its the defensive side. Have you guys noticed, every 3rd down over the last few seasons, other teams always convert? I don't know why we don't blitz when its 3rd and 20.

It is above the league average of arround 38%

2010 Defense is giving up- 41%

2009- 36%

2008- 40%

2007-42%

Last week at NO it was 57%

Yeah well when you run on the first two plays to set up third and a mile it gets fairly predictable.

Fox would rather play it safe and sit back in Zone to be sure to not let them get a first than blitzing and trying to get the advantage. So predictable as usual.

teams have a pretty good chance of putting us in third and long if they stack the box on first and second downs. Untill this staff figures that out and causes the defenses to change we will see more of the same. What is that definition of insanity????

3rd down trouble has been a theme in the Fox era. Nothing to see here folks.

I do think our offense will look a lot better by seasons end though.
