Article on Charlotte.com...

Not that we needed another Peppers thread, but the article is a decent read.

Two former NFL general managers say they believe Julius Peppers is best suited for a 4-3 defense like the Carolina Panthers use and wouldn't fit as well in a 3-4 scheme.

"Lance Briggs was never, ever going to put on a Chicago Bears' uniform again, and now he's probably as happy as anybody in that organization,” Reese said.

“There's nothing they didn't do to help him reach his potential,” Casserly said. “They lined him up at defensive end, and that's what he does. Anything he didn't achieve is his own fault.”

Some people don't know how good they've got it until it's gone.

i like this one.

Casserly said he didn't see any reason Peppers' couldn't fully excel playing in the Panthers' 4-3.

“There's nothing they didn't do to help him reach his potential,” Casserly said. “They lined him up at defensive end, and that's what he does. Anything he didn't achieve is his own fault.”

this one was good as well
Reese said he thought the Panthers' system consistently put Peppers in position to succeed.

“I see him best as a space, speed rush kind of guy, and I think that's where they tried to use him,” Reese said. “I don't know what kind of a system he would be looking for, but I think most people … would see him as a rush defensive end in a 4-3 scheme.

“They tried to put him in the best spot to succeed. We've seen him be very, very successful in that system. I don't know what he would get someplace else that would make him more successful, other than maybe being on a different team with different defensive lineman around him. But that doesn't really have much to do with the scheme.”

we are going to be hearing a whole lot more like that from league insiders in the next month.

i just wonder how much of this is his agent's fault trying to get himself in the news and some more attention?

he is walking out on a good situation for no good reason except he's fickle.

he is now a whining malcontent who i have no respect for.

he is abandoning his team and his fanbase. the way his agent has worked shows that he has no interest in doing what is good for the panthers so why should we care about doing what is best for him.

i say trade him to a sucky team with no hopes of going to the superbowl with a bad coaching staff and horrible owners. the panthers owe him nothing at this point but they need to get compensated for him somehow. we couldn't get a superbowl win out of him, lets use his lazy wandering hide to get someone who wants to help us get a ring.

    • Okay, so answer this one then, since you said you can't answer something you don't think will happen...... You have said numerous times in the past that even though you want them, you don't think Deion will allow us to take his son or Hunter. You then taking Ward #1 over T-Mac just because he's the QB?
    • Thanks for that sounds very interesting.   I have a scientific mind usually and don’t believe in wide spread conspiracy theories but with the NBA it’s so obvious.  The fuggin rigged draft is something only an idiot wouldn’t see.  But the NBA is 100% about big market money.  It’s not even a real league.  It’s 10 teams that have a shot.
    • This response is absolutely and utterly insane, I've literally this same thing out multiple times in previous posts about mock drafts, like a bunch of times. I've never once denied it's a possibility of them going #1, I've just said that I wouldn't take them there. And YET AGAIN, you're proving that you don't believe they are elite QB prospects, you literally just said "first prospects off the board REGARDLESS OF TALENT" It's literally what I've been saying this whole time, these QB's don't have the draft grades to deserve that pick.  They're only being mocked there because mocks are trying to predict the draft, not saying who deserves to be drafted where.   Dude, this is exactly why I question your reading comprehension skills.  You keep trying to say you got me with something, but in those exact posts you're just proving my points, the literal opposite of catching me in some lie or moment of ignorance.
