If really this is true then I dont want someone like that on the team. Giving up is the only form of losing in my book.

Get over yourself.

Pro football players should be paid, game by game, performance based and this crap would stop.

Why's that, idiot?

Peppers is a weirdo and go f*ck himself

I wish we had a coach like Lombardi or Woody Hayes who would have punked him out

And just why is that, insignificant human being?

Or just maybe the fact that Fox couldn't CARE LESS ABOUT MEDIOCRITY goes for the players as well as it does for losses. After all, a loss to Fox is just what it is.

You know, I don't care if every player in a Panthers uniform hated Fox's guts, you don't quit in the NFL...period.

According to who?

Was this your first year watching the NFL?

this is the same problem that jenkins left over.

fox has lost this team.

Rarely agree with you but, ding, ding, ding. This is becoming a pattern, and it looks like it's going to end in Fox and Co. eventually running this team into the ground. Jenks and Peppers were the best players that have come through our franchise. We can't keep letting our best players go and expect to get better.

I've been for firing Turdo for awhile now, but I'm now beginning to agree with folks that say Fox should go with him.

I've noticed you on the board before, typically when the team is losing in the chat rooms.

If anyone should get over themselves its you, for calling anyone an idiot.

Yeah, because what you notice is all that exists.

Actually, I couldn't care less about you or me.

It wouldn't be the first time a player quit on a COACH, especially one like Fox who's satisfied with mediocrity.

Fox's PHILOSOPHY SUCKS.

Peppers can do as he pleases. He doesn't owe any of you a thing.

Screw you.

Jerry Richardson deserved a lot better than Julius not producing in 07 and his turning the back on the man who has paid and promoted him all these years.

He should give his money back.

Pro football players should be paid, game by game, performance based and this crap would stop.

i dont think he is turning his back on anybody...he wants out nothing wrong with that..

Its, 'could care less' not 'couldn't care less'

Your intelligence continues to show, just as your posts do during game thread.

As someone who forks out a lot of money to watch pro athletes, yes, pay them by the game, it would help the 'this game, I'll play, this game I won't ' factor.

This is great, LOL

Jake is 10X sorrier than Peppers, yet people are more mad at Peppers for leaving for a very viable reason.

Screw Jake, he should be gone too, the only reason he is here IS because of this system.

Peppers will be fine anywhere, this scheme/system is terrible, Fox is terrible.

I want Jake gone, and I hope the door does hit him on the way out.(same with Fox)

In the NFL ultimately they don't care about the players, so he is looking out for himself, which is what you have to do.

If I was in(the NFL) I would much rather be the one burning a franchise, instead of waiting on them to burn me(like the LT situation).

GJ Pep don't put up with those shitty coaches, also don't mind these pitiful fans.

Hell, I've always been a Jake fan, and I'm proud of it, but to say he's not responsible for getting us behind in that Cardinals game is pure ignorance. You can't expect the defense to shut the other team down when your offense turns the ball over 6 freakin times.

23 out of the 33 points the Cardinals scored came off of turnovers...that pretty much says it all.

The brutality of it all is that 4 of those turnovers were inside either Red Zone. Two lost opportunities for us to score, and two red zone giveaways to the Cards.

Still, I was equally as frustrated over the Fitzgerald bit. One guy to cover. Period. One guy, wide open...all night.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcsouth/0-7-104/Weighing-in-on-the-Peppers-situation.html

"Although he had 14.5 sacks this season, Peppers hasn't been happy in Carolina for quite some time. When Peppers was playing miserably in 2007 (just 2.5 sacks), I asked a teammate about the widespread rumors that something might be wrong physically. The teammate laughed, said no and pointed to his head.

The teammate went on to say that Peppers had stopped buying into Fox and simply was going through the motions."

That's total garbage. If he stopped playing for Fox then why did he play well this season? It could not have been just the contract year stuff.

If Peppers truly believes that it's all about becoming an elite player then it proves that it's all about him and not the team. Where in his "statement" did it say that Peppers really wants to help a team win a Super Bowl?

I believe I read in the Interview in his agent that he was happy with the move this past season and he wanted to give the panthers and the scheme one more shot to see if he could tap his potential in Carolina. That he didn't make the decision to leave until last week.
