Yep, I would put money on it. Also, it looks like Jenkins's production dropped off in NY just like it did here, once the "new" wore off, so I don't much stock in what he says.

I don't care for Pat Y. but in this case I believe him. The "mysterious illness" was just too good to be true. Heck, its pretty clear to see if you watch an entire game and focus in on Peppers that his effort comes and goes.

He doesn't face double teams nearly the amount of times that many of his fan boys say he does, yet he was still being stood up.

Many times it looked like he would just engage the lineman.

Well, I'm not about to argue about Peppers production anymore because it's pointless now, but I will argue that the coaching staff did right by him for the most part. I really can't think of anything else they could have tried with him, aside from lining him up as a true LBer and having him rush from 5yds back and cover TE's consistently.

This explains all the blow outs we have witnessed in the last couple of years. Fox has lost at least a portion of the team. During Fox's early years we NEVER got blown out not matter the situation, in the last couple of years we have all seen it the team coming out flat or quitting once it got behind. FOX is the problem, not PEPP and only the FOX fanboys will deny this.

Huh. Just an example the year we went to the super bowl we got blown out at home by Tenn by 20 and in 2002 we lost to atlanta by 30 by laying up a goose egg. in 2004 we lost by 22 to philly. so on and so on...

BTW, did y'all know that the Panthers defense had the exact same number of sacks (34) as the Ravens did this season? You can't tell me that the Panthers have more defensive talent than they do.

Ravens were 2nd in total Defense

Ravens were 2nd in pass yardage allowed...Carolina was 16th

Ravens were 3rd against the run...Carolina was 20th

Sacks help, but look at the big picture, the 2 units are not even comparible. BTW, its ironic you mention the Ravens, Ozzy Newsome was quoted as saying Baltimore would go after the best pass rusher available, IF, IF IF, they felt like they were a player away from winning it all.

I should have been more specific in FOX's early tenure we never got blown out and had to question if it was due to effort. IMO, that has changed in the last couple of years. There have been games where lack of effort is clearly the issue.

Like I said...the Ravens are much more talented on defense than the Panthers. The Panthers didn't do that bad on defense at all though when you factor in the rankings of the offenses they faced this year, along with the injuries on the D-line, which came right as they had to face the Giants and Saints. I thought the coaching staff did a pretty good job with what they had.

Of course they could always improve, but that's true for pretty much every team in the league.
