Cassel had great coaching.

Cassel had some great skill players around him.

Cassel also played better and better every week.

There's no way to know what he is capable of elsewhere or with far lesser talent around him until that happens to him. Same goes for Peyton Manning actually. Brady on the other hand has already proven his skills with and without great talent around him.

Dispute it if you can. :D

The flipside to that is who knows how good Peyton's offensive stars would be without Peyton? The only ones who have left though haven't exactly shined outside of Indy (Edge James, Brandon Stokley, Marcus Pollard).

As for the question in this thread....I'll just keep quoting this post I made everytime this idea has come up.

As for Cassel, for the 2032309290820820th time, forgive me if I'm not ready to throw Peppers and a 55-60 million dollar multi year deal at a guy who hasn't proven himself outside of one year within the revamped Pats system. Of course I'm guessing the same people making this argument probably did the same with Derek Anderson last year. And they probably would be the same people that would be bitching if the move didn't work out.

I see your point and as usual it's pretty good..and certainly I would agree that some of those guys wouldn't have the #s elsewhere that they have in Indy with Peyton....but Polian has also let those guys you mentioned go when they were almost run dry. Faulk, though he strong armed hsi way out of Indy and wasn't dumped was great in Indy and in St Lou. Stoke I think was more a case of $$ for the production because he was hurt a bunch. You could also argue that even the ok guys Brady had he got more out of than any other guys. IE Reche Caldwell was ???? in SD and serviceable in NE and then what after NE?

Suggesting a player for player trade isn't the best way of convincing people of your football knowledge.

I think the Panthers should trade Landon Johnson to the Colts for Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, this years first round pick, next years first rounder and second rounder, and $20.

The Colts need a linebacker.
