Official Peppers bitch/whine thread. And TRADE IDEAS HERE!!!!

Peppers is Carey's only client. From what I know, he's not so much a career agent as a friend acting in agent capacity.

I think the desire to leave is purely Julius.

your right he his a friend of julius' From his UNC days, Carey single handily kept peppers from flunking out of college and when pep got an agent for the draft it was Carey who found the agent and when Julius needed an agent change he went to the person he trust the most Carey.

In a perfect situation we can trade peppers for a 1st and 3rd at least to a team thats 10-20 in the draft. We could resign Gross and maybe sign Suggs. Then we trade down to the late 1st round to some one who really needs the pick and possibly get another 2nd and 3rd rounder.

1. DT

2. Herman Johnson (RG) would be a fugin beast next to Otah

2. DT/DE

3. CB

3. WR/KR

4. RB finally replace Goings so the drop off isn't so terrible if one of our opt 2 backs gets hurt(God forbid)

5. FB

6. LB

after days of fury about the whole matter, i'm over it. let him go, just get as much as possible in return for the guy. if he doesn't want to play here, then he won't play here, no matter how much we pay him or how much we bitch about it (and i've been bitching about it, a lot).

pep was one of the most loved panthers for a long time. the stands are pretty much all pep, smith, and delhomme jerseys. most people (up until his agent announced to espn that he wanted to leave us) thought pep was the sh*t and would be here forever.

of course people are pissed. that dude is a star, and a lot of us have supported him, even during his mysterious illness. annnnd this is how we get paid back. i know it's just a business and to most of these guys a team is a team. but when a huge part of your teams identity announces that he wants to bounce, it's going to cause big controversy. that'd be like if steve smith was all the sudden upset with his performance here and wanted to go play with a better qb.

maybe once he's gone we'll be able to build a defense that will have some consistency (although i do blame trgo for part of that, too). pep isn't god. one third of his sacks came in two games this season (against the raiders and lions). it's not like he's out there beating the best of the best. so whatever. he wants to go, let him go, and get the best damned deal ever.

i guess i'd have to get a new jersey, avatar, and user name after that, though... damn.

Peppers isn't a sell out, it isn't illiegal to change teams, to want to play somewhere else, to live somewhere else, to play in another scheme, play for another coach etc...

Of course everything bad about Peppers is enlarged 1000 times because everyone is a bunch of sour fans.

Yea, I was pissed too, when I heard about Pep wanting out of Carolina, and then having his agent suggest that Carolina has been holding him back( don't get me started on that). But I feel like this: If the guy doesn't want to be here, then just franchise him and trade him. Don't franchise him and expect him to put forth any effort next season, because he doesn't want to be here. Just franchise him, trade him, and be done with it. More important things to worry about than a player who doesn't want to be here. Just my opinion.

A memo to the drama queens (Not a personal attack):

I don't know if you are still in depression from the loss, but finding a new scapegoat every other week to base the fractures in our team is ridiculous. Henning, Peppers, Turdgovac, Jenkins, etc.

In the NFL teams change, game plans go bad, coaches make mistakes, players sometimes aren't playing top notch. To throw so much bandwagon hate is a road I do not want our fans to go down. That is for the Saints fans.

If you legitimate think Peppers is bad for the team, explain yourself. If not, you are no different than the rest of those angry mobs setting fire to "witches".

Didn't see this posted, and didn't want to start a new thread...

Peppers' departure is not a sure thing

On Charlotte.com this morning...

read that as well, the most interesting part about the full story though is that some GM'S are saying that peppers being available is close to reggie white being available when he left philly. Peppers could be worth those 2 first rounders after all.
