Official Peppers bitch/whine thread. And TRADE IDEAS HERE!!!!

Peppers needs someone else on the line to help so he's not getting all the attention, last year he had Jenkins- but he was ill. This year he's back to form, but was the sole focus on OL's and STILL registered a career high sack count. He would do well on a DL will other players that have to be accounted for- could you imagine him lined up opposite of Jared Allen with the Willliams' in the middle?

Trade him to the Cowboys for their 1st round pick...or anybody outside our division for a first round pick. We need to invest in an earth moving DT and we'll be better across the entire line, IMO.

I said it in another thread, and I'll say it here, I think we lost him when JR called him out at Minter's retirement press conference. I think he was embarrassed and offended, and I don't think his head was right the rest of the season.

Hate to say it, but if that's all it would take to mess him up, he doesn't need to be playing pro sports.

A grown man being paid millions of dollars to play a game suddenly tanks because his feelings are hurt? If that's true, sheesh

Did Pep give up this season?

I dont believe this B.S

Contract years do wonders.

The only other explanation for last season has been the 'mystery illness'. Something for which there has never been any medical evidence submitted, which makes it hard to buy in a league that takes its injury reporting fairly seriously.

Well there is another article saying he would do will, what these people are doing is giving a opinion...

Peppers is bigger than Merriman and Ware but just as fast if not faster, has he covered Wideouts {yes}, has he covered running backs {yes}

He just would happen to be the biggest OLB in NFL history so far

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcsouth/0-7-104/Weighing-in-on-the-Peppers-situation.html

"Although he had 14.5 sacks this season, Peppers hasn't been happy in Carolina for quite some time. When Peppers was playing miserably in 2007 (just 2.5 sacks), I asked a teammate about the widespread rumors that something might be wrong physically. The teammate laughed, said no and pointed to his head.

The teammate went on to say that Peppers had stopped buying into Fox and simply was going through the motions."

Interesting. False, but interesting.

All I wanted was a Shamwow!

Made by Germans.....so you know it's going to be good!!

Now if Peppers only could be made by Germans so he would not be single blocked by a back-up left tackle.

14.5 sacks are nice but he could not dominate his man consistently this season. He was single blocked in a quarter of the games by journeymen tackles or back-ups...Now he would overpower Tight-ends that were on him but that should show where coordinators around the league regard where Peppers is as a player to fear.

For those of us who have seen the medical records, there's no mystery to it.

"I would like to leave this defense far behind. I havent had a real coordinator since Jack Del Rio in 2003. I havent had a feared pass rushing presence play on the line beside me since Kris Jenkins, who team management let go for nothing, and is now the monster anchor of the Jets front 3. Our pass rush has been a joke since our Superbowl year, and I have been double teamed constantly this season because no one else on this bargain basement front has pass rushing talent that opposing teams fear."

"The only other promising DL player, Charles Johnson, doesnt start, and though he had the second most sacks on the defense this year, cannot stay in games long enough for him to get valuable experience to hone his skills so that he can take some pressure off of me. Instead average back-up talents like Tyler Brayton get the bulk of the reps at left end. I am sick of the double teams, sick of the generic defensive gameplans and bad coaching, I want to play next to some talent and for a real defensive mind."

" I would love to stay here,I grew up and went to college in this state. But I dont see this team improving, like a team serious about winning titles. If I am franchised, I'll play out the year to the best of my ability, and if we bring in some big time talent on defense and we bring in a real coordinator, then maybe I reconsider wanting to leave. but if not, adios!"

Del Rio was NOT our DC in 2003. It was Trgo. Just sayin.

I'm a little disappointed at the fan base who are throwing out the "FU"s at his wanting to leave. I'm also very disappointed that he's leaving. But lets understand something...he's not leaving for more money. He's already been offered that. He's leaving because he's not happy. I would say that would be the best and most appropriate reason for leaving.

To anyone who is divorced and throwing around "fu"...look yourself in the mirror. To anyone who is working for another employer, on their own accord, look yourself in the mirror. To anyone who has rellocated their family to a new home across town...look yourself in the mirror.

All of those decisions were due to being unhappy about something in your current situation. You made a decision to change that. I dont see anyone telling you to "f-off". He has handled this situation as well as anyone could hope for. He played out his contract. He deserves that respect. I wish him well. I only wish it were here.
