Really? People are calling for a new coach, new QB, new WR's, new GM, etc... That's all happening now... it's called rebuilding.

Even if Jerry Richardson lay's low, look at the other rebuilding teams any their pay rolls and talent, etc... It happens...

And it will get worse too because a new coach = times to get his scheme working so you best get ready for another year or 2 of bad times.

ehh, the Panthers did go after upgrade players in FA before. It's not as if they ignore bringing in any talent via FA. Just this season heh.

Article is mostly spot on though, hate the site or not. All these things we basically already knew, but it would be a good read for non-Panthers fans. JR does only care about money, and not the fans, which has been proven many times.

Anyone who didn't think that JR was ever in this for the money but "for the love of the fans" (or some such romantic bullshit) needs to be taken out back and shot.

Every NFL owner is in it for the damn money.

Its the same reason anybody does just about anything.

Do you think the plummer that comes to your house to fix your clogged shitter is in it "for the toilets"? fug no. He does it because it is the best way he could find of seperating you and your cash. The same reason JR started an NFL franchise, it was a damn good way for him to make money.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. Just don't sit there and bitch that JR is raking in the cash instead of bleeding green bills out of his ass, so that you may be better entertained.

The simple fact is this: we are a relatively young franchise that has still not really established an identity within the league, JR has never been afraid to spend money on salary, we have had a pretty good deal of success over the last 15 years, and every team in the league goes through ups and downs.

Right now we are in a downward trend. We have been since about '05 (yes we made the NFCCG), should have started stock-piling picks and talent then for continued future success. Instead, being a bit newer at this and not have an identity or a past to fall back on and look to, JR and co. kept trying to bandage every year and hit home runs in the first 2 rds. then looking for good role players in the later rounds. They got their heads out of their collective ass last year and it is rough going this year but it bodes well for the future.

Also, none of that above post was in any way directed at the BR article. While I am sure that it was well written and insightful to anyone who doesn't own a tv or a radio, I refuse to read some crap that a 14 y/o spewed from his computer instead of doing his homework.
