Well, honestly I don't think it matters if other QBs in the league could handle it or not. Right now the important thing is how Clausen handles it.

He hasn't been performing in a stellar fashion thus far, and several of his pass attempts disappointed me against the Saints, but with any luck at all our young players will get better which will give him a better supporting cast.

Now if he can just not throw passes at receivers feet and work with the OL to create those passing lanes then we'll see a competent Panther's quarterback.

To directly answer the main question posed by the OP I'll say this: Brady, Manning, and Brees would all be able to do better than Clausen has but they are phenoms and Clausen is still an unknown.

our offensive line is playing like poo

Our run game is not very scary to opposing D's

Smith hasn't been able to get open right

Our other recievers are rookies and aren't playing lights out by any means

Tight ends have been non exsistent in the passing game.

Jeff Davidson is our offensive coordinator and coach Fox is as conservative as Billy Graham when it comes to offensive playcalling

Yet despite all this alot people say Clausen is playing like poo and that he's not ready. I blame the supporting cast not him, cuz all things considered he's doing a great job.

I personally cant see too many qb's doing a much better job than what he's doing right now, if you can think of some, please explain to me who and why.

Who knows? The Oline troubles alone would traumatize most qbs.

I like the question though.

We made Brees look somewhat pedestrian last week , and he has a stable of solid WRs and a great Oline. That was just with a little pressure on him. Would he still be "Breesus" if he had the Panthers Oline, getting knocked on his ass every other play and a stable of subpar WRs?

Not comparing Clausen and Brees, obviously.

Rodgers is one of the only Qbs recently that I've seen take relentless beating after beating due to a faulty Oline and still put up great numbers ('08, '09, so far this year). his WR corp is great, but the beatings he has taken would make most Qbs look horrible.

Hmm. After two starts, #2 has the same TD to Int ratio as #3. Not really seeing how we're really better off.

I'm mostly just playing Devil's advocate here.... I think Clausen has better poise and scrambles better. Ultimately I think he'll be a better QB.

But Moore got crucified on the failure of the FO and Fox to put this team in a position of to have success. It's unfortunate, as I think he has the tools to be a starter in the NFL. If they had put a team in to support him, we could have had a decent season.

plus matt threw 4 picks in less than 2 full games, Clausen has thrown 1 in 2 full starts.The TD thing goes back to supporting cast...against tampa Clausen had us driving when others fumbled

There are probably 20 or so QB's that would be better than Clausen at this point considering what is going on around him.

However Matt Moore is not one of them.

Lets talk about Cluelessness for a second...

On the other hand... I'll just point out that so far on the season, Clausen has 4 fumbles and lost two. Moore had 3 fumbles and lost 2.
