Successful NFL with the same Mold as Panthers

LOL, I wouldn't call Miami a success.

Yes, Parcell has managed to get that team off the bottom of the pond, but are they "successful"?

A 41-14 loss last night pretty much shows me... "not really".

Let's be objective about that loss.

The score was 7-6 at halftime which is the type of Ball control game the Dolphins play.

That was one of the biggest special teams debacles I've seen in a long time, One that didn't happen to them in previous games and probably won't happen to them again this season. Returns, blocks, it just got ridiculous. That forced them to have to try and force the pass to come back. Those special team mistakes can be corrected.... offensive and defensive issues/personnel is not so easy to correct.

Miami Dolphins.

1) Run first team who wants to pound the ball, control the clock and the game

2) Solid Defense.... Bend but don't break

3) A top NFL WR that will attract double teams and make play all over the field.

4) A Young smart QB who manages the game well and makes some plays.

Thoughts?

You mean that team that just got the poo kicked out of them last night?

My problem with building a team this way, is when something like that happens, you can't come back from it.

Lets say we are playing the Falcons and a tipped pass gets INT'd by Robinson who takes it to the house making it 14 - 0 Falcons in the 2nd quarter. We almost can't come back from a 14 pt defecit.

You have to be able to pass the ball in the NFL, and I am praying for a HC who understands this when Fox is gone.

They kept their veterans long enough for the young guys to learn from, Pennington is still on the sideline for Henne (sp), Ricky Williams has to be as old as dirt. No, they are nothing like us.

Why isn't anyone talking about the rookies on the Patriots? Especially their secondary. I think they did a good job last night. Same thing, though. They kept vets on the team to learn from.

NE's ST coach is Scottie O'Brien and our ST were outstanding while he was here. There's no way around the guy is a genius. Saw something on tape with the punter's kick and exploited it.

They also have a solid number two wide-out: Bess.

They get two easy wins a year verse the Bills.

They have arguably the best LT in football. Our LT is overrated.

Yea that's all I'm coming up with right now.

it would be nice to have 2 threats on the field... they are set for a long time with Marshall and Bess..

Oh very true. That game was silly.

But there is also the fact that they've been to the playoffs, what, once in the past 9 years?

Still not really able to call that a success.

I thought Parcells joined the squad in 2008?

Correct me if I'm wrong though.
