about complaining about AE: It's very possible that AE coulda been taken in a later round and our priorities may have shifted to the point we didn't pick up Gettis where we did! We may have lost out on him if our draft had gone differently. Gettis is turning into a threat, though he isn't there yet. I prefer to view our draft as a single product, because changing one pick could change everything. Still, hope AE pans out and is able to get on the field with Gettis in the future

If he continues to improve he will be the best receiver on this team in a couple years. I hope he does, because Clausen is growing with him, and because Smith needs the help.

yes, he's still learning, but he contributes and works hard.

Some things you can teach (hanging on to the ball, cradling it), but you can't teach the mechanics on that 4th an 4. Some are just born with it.

Gettis has been the key to our offense turning around. We needed someone to provide another option for the defenses to pay attention to. Now that we have it, we will see a lot more open room for our RBs and Smith.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I remember Steve Smith missing some time early in Keary Colbert's rookie season and KC having a few impressive games (I wanna say Denver and Tampa Bay maybe?). I hope Gettis doesn't pull a Colbert!

The shake and bake move he pulled on the 4th and 9 where he dropped the TD catch was a thing of beauty. Glad he got to redeem himself with a beautiful route and veteran moves (only reaching his hands out at the last possible second to stop Spencer for knowing the ball was coming to him) on that game-tying TD. I'm officially on the bandwagon.

I've been on the Gettis bandwagon since TC. You could just see him making progress every week, and it was just a matter of time before he had a breakout game.
