Extend Fox!!!

Fox turned this franchise from a perenial loser to respectable franchise. That said, I think he has lost the team, and we need to look in a new direction. However, you guy's should respect Fox for everything he has done.. without him who knows where we would be right now.
Man I can never forget how Fox almost help the Panthers win their first SB in team history. But like alot of us saying is fox time is up because it ain't happening anymore. Why other Teams out here are changing we are staying the same. It's time for the change wheather it is cowher or any other coach.. We might have some hard times for a few years. But it might be well worth it later on down the road. But far as fox is concern. It is is over and done. Time for a change.

The combo of Fox and the Panthers has run its course.

At this point, both would be better with fresh starts.

agreed. i think fox is like caughlin up in ny. a good coach that now needs a new gig. it worked for hi, it could just as easily work for fox. i cant lay this season on just him. his hands were tied with this roster. tallent sure, but physical ability does not make a guy a good football player. he has a lot of tallent, but the physical abilities are way ahead of the football IQ.

he is a defensive guy and that is not our problem, its a shitty offense. thats part his philosophy to run the ball and be conservative (not all that different from cowher), but the line, wrs, and qb are all poo atm. tallented, sure, but again they have quite a ways to go before they are good nfl players. a bunch of rookies at wr, and qb are not a reciepe for success with a defensive oriented guy.

i hope the next coach leaves the defense alone to meeks (doubt it), and fixes the offense somehow. a guy like cowher is another guy with fox's mentality to winning games (clock control, run, and play D) and his speciality is again defense. he did have one hell of a staff assembled there especially on offense.

fox's time as panther coach is over unless something unhead of happens. and it should only as he has not had enough consistant success from injuries to bad calls, to bad FA moves, it really doesnt matter. his time is up.

I think the main reason Fox isn't already gone is lack of a good replacement. A less than 500 season will render it a moote point. From the scuttle butt it already is. I don't know who'd replace him.

For me, there are quite a few unknowns. Not being a fly on the wall, its also hard to know who to blame for the "5 cent comic" offensive play book that we've been using since DAn Henning. The "DA" stands for "dumb ass." When someone like me could predict pass or run and to what side of the field with 85% accuracy while watching the game on TV you know the other guys could call it from the booth. My accuracy went up when I went to the game. I'm not as good with Jeff Davidson. A bit under 80%. I haven't had 4 years to watch him....Just once I'd liked to have seen Hoover, Goins and any other great running back we had on the field at the same time. I suppose it complicated things too much. If those were Fox's calls then we could find a winning Pop Warner coach to take his place. If the last two OC's were picks of Fox he needed to let someone else handle that responsibility.

For some reason since the Del Rio era we've had a working "D" I'd like to see Del Rio come back as a DC. Someone said last night his job was in jepordy. A great DC evidently doesn't have to equal a great HC.

In the end, if his game plan doesn't change Fox HAS to go. Who to replace him with is a whole other question.

For the record i didnt mean my cowher record comment as a statistical fact... Im just saying Fox has 3 playoff appearences, a sb appearence, and a NFC title appearence after turning around a 1-15 team. Some lucky team out there will be blessed if we fire him. Cowher is a great coach as well its just gonna take alot longer to turn around a team with a new regime. To say we dont have fire or a desire to win under fox is asinine. Wanna ask Beason if hes dedicated to winnning and has bought the scheme? The team lost fire huh? 0-3 and we go into the Saints home and almost win with rookie QB and hold them to ONLY 16 points. If we play that way the rest of the year I dont see why we cant finish 10-6.

1 of these people are gone at the end of the year, if we go 8-8 or worse.

John Fox

Jeff Davidson

My opinion, it should be Davidson. The guy was horrific at Cleveland, so of course we bring in him.

I think Marty Hurney needs to go.
