That was a bad playcall in the first place. He probably would have lost two running the direction he was supposed to. The only way he's gained yards has been bobbing and weaving through defenders. He thought he could break one, and man, if he had, think of how many of us would be cheering him on. Instead...

His miscue cost us a chance at a FG, but he didn't lose us the game. Playcalling did, IMO.

Also, how the hell D-Will manages to have such insane YPC despite not getting into a rhythm is beyond me. Could you imagine if we ran him 20 times a game? I like Stew, but he doesn't seem right, looks injured

Yes I agree, our playcalling is so predictable it's crazy. We make no effort to change, trick or anything, just a plain play wit no icing. And whats up wit our O line???? they suck, especially 73 in this game.

It's Deangelo's talent that made this offense look decent, no way in hell should he have done that cutback, but I don't blame him. The designated play was an insta-fail as soon as he touched the ball (Schwartz & Bernadaeu > ) he just tried to do to much, which had costs the game for them.

But the Offensive playcalling in general was so fuging bad.

True, had he broke that tackle (which he almost did) he probably could have walked twenty yards before a defender came close. But at that point of the game. . .I would have taken the short gain.

This season may be our shittiest ever. Fox is over all the playcalling, so it's on him. I think Davidson is an idiot either way, but Fox has to approve it... I knew it was going to be a huge let down at the end b/c we have no idea how to call plays or execute on offense.

They should've went to a quick pass to the RB or TEs in the flats, a slant, or screen. Play action maybe? Nope... Fail.

honestly I didn't think there even WAS a short gain over there - from the look if it, the Saints were already in the backfield on that side of the field, too, but I'd have to re-watch it to be sure.

either way, never shoulda been an issue imo. the reason you play action pass in that situation is so your QB can chuck it out of bounds if a quick read shows nothing I think, but... I am not a coach, and just a fan, so... if D-will breaks that run we don't talk about this at all and we herald him as amazing (which he is)
