Final: Saints 16, Panthers 14

Unreal.

The Carolina Panthers came so close to the upset of the year, but a desperate fourth-down pass fell off the hands of Dwayne Jarrett, and the Saints held on for a 16-14 win.

The Saints took the lead on a ridiculous 18-play, 86-yard drive that chewed up 9:25 worth of clock.

The Panthers continued to play stingy in the red zone, but John Carney's 25-yard field goal was good for a 16-14 margin with 3:55 left.

The Panthers drove, with David Gettis converting and improbable fourth-down play of his own. But with Steve Smith still in the locker room, the Panthers ran out of options, and Jabari Greer batted the final pass away from Jarrett.

More from the locker room in a few.
