Terrible clock management by Fox shines again...

His complete ineptitude of managing the clock astouds me. Burning 2 timeouts on the first drive of the game and then giving the Saints a chance to score before halftime instead of running to burn their timeouts. It's amazing to me how an NFL coach can be this stupid.

Fox didn't burn the timeouts.......personally I don't believe Davidson was getting the plays in fast enough.......thus putting JC in a hole.

Clausen called the 1st time out because the call wasn't coming in over his helmet speaker. They later fixed the audio.

Smitty called the 2nd because the play clock was running out.

This was all talked about by the announcers. Are any of you paying attention to the game???

IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COACHES.

Every call goes through Fox and its his responsibility to get the call out with plenty of time left.

And once again at the end of the game, poor calling with little time on the clock. Why call a cutback with Williams with the game on the line and no timeouts? We only needed 2 yards to get into field goal range. Why not just call run plays up the middle instead of taking forever to get a pass call out and then wasting more time when the QB has to point out the defensive blitzers?

Im not positive, but I believe the cutback was Williams's call.

The challenge was close and it was a big part in the game. I can't see why it would be inexcusable.

It also gave the defense more time to get their breath because they'd be right back on the field.

Where the hell do you get your information from??? This is so unbelievably wrong, I'm at a loss for words. :smash:

I'm a long time panther fan, but never post on here. Joined back in the winter but have stayed silent. I know that D'Wills run put us out of "range" for the feild goal, but why not go ahead and try than put the game on the line with a rookie qb and an unintelligent WR known as Dwayne Jarrett?

    • I don't think Rodgers but probably not for the political reasons I bet a lot of posters are motivated by. I just think he is not the QB for the Panthers, at all.
    • Sun Devils just scored another TD on BYU, 14-0
    • It wasn't great but  the 2022 NYG won 9 of 16 games plus a playoff game. He had a 92.5 passer rating. 15 pass TDs 3200 yards, 7 rushing TD, 700 yards 6 fumbles 3 lost.  His first season he had 18 fumbles lost 11. Wow.  Anyhow he had problems in 2023 with injuries and didn't win poo before tearing his ACL. This year, no Barkley, not good, but you know.... these ACLs take a while and it was right and he throws right so pushes off of it.  I agree it doesn't hurt to let that guy compete cheap. You don't hand him the job like with Bryce or NYG with him.  When I look at what we have been saddled with, he doesn't look worse and has the physical advantage. So I don't get the umbrage given our situation. This "No we won't settle for anything less that the best" attitude and then taking Bryce Young was pathetic and I think that attitude brought us to where we are. That's where that poo gets you. Away from Mayfield, away from Darnold, even away from PJ - just to replace them with an inferior PJ.  At the same time I am not really advocating for the guy just looking at it objectively. It could be another guy with the same story. And yes the odds of him getting it are low but the numbers and performance from 2022 are for sure better than we see with Bryce even after a season of major propping him up with better players around him. Take a look don't take a look he fails or he doesn't fail...   to instead sit here and be happier with what we have is bullshit.
