Best signal for tv at a tailgate?

No directv. Buddy who I go to the games with has an older tv and Im bringing a newer flat screen tomorrow. Last couple of times he had trouble getting signals but the one I use has done well using broadcast signals over the air.

We are also considering taking an IPAD and try to watch the early games.

Any suggestions, tips, hints, PIN #'s??

His is probably analog, which TV stations don't boradcast any longer. The TV in my Van won't receive stations any longer fortuntely I have a VCR. Yours most likely will pick up the newer digital signals. (Flat screens typically have a digital tunner.) I really doesn't have anything to do with the antenna.
