That restaurant would have survived longer than it did if it was in a more reachable location. If it would have been more in the center of Ballantyne instead of tucked off in a corner it could have generated more revenue... I don't think he had a poor business model, just a poor choice of location.

Seriously, I always hear people say if they got rich they'd start a restaurant or a bar because it's a guaranteed way to make money...

There is no guaranteed way to make money and anyone who thinks life is so easy is a moron or either a really talented business owner.

OMFG I have been in the Restaurant business all my life and yes it will make you money but it is by far not guaranteed or easy. It is one of the most difficult things you can do.

You need to be a master chef and and master business man all at the same time. It takes years of practice and loads of talent.

My advice if you ever get money.... Dont do a Restaurant. Do anything but a restaurant. Trust me you will thank me later down the road.

Location has a lot to do with it but Pizza is a hard business. It seems like a great idea cause its low cost and a fav to many people but the down side is there is a lot of pizza places that have already established themselves in the area. You get that first surge of people but then they go back to what they know. A restaurant is just as much about serving something different as it is serving good food. If you can be the first at something then you have a good chance. If not you have a high mountain to climb.

Right, because Dan is the only person who has ever failed in the restaurant business...

80% of restaurants fail in the first year, whether they are owned by professional athletes or not.

What is with this vendetta people seem to have against Dan? He's one of the few Panthers players who ever bothered to come on this board and immediatley he was attacked with all kinds of concussion wisecracks.

P.S. He was right about Vick, so if he ever bothers to come back (which I doubt) there are allot of folks on here who should shut up and listen.

doesnt surprise me... in about 25 years i expect panther fans to have a resemblance to philly fans

If I was one with power I would delete this thread. he is not on our team, nor do we care about his opinion. He has been removed from the team long enough not to get any inside knowledge. Plus his head is still going--ding dong-ding- the- ding-ding- dong. . 55 you got replaced with a 55 that is just as good
