Jarrett says agent discussed trade option with Panthers in the offseason

I can definitely agree with this. Money is not the issue for whether or not Fox is staying. We have a roster that only has 2 players on it pre fox days in Kasay and Smith. I do not believe the Hurney is this genius of putting together a roster as much as he is credited. We will have more than double the years of mediocracy as we do winning seasons in the years to come staying with Fox. He is good at taking pieces and putting them together to bring cohesion, see 2002. He can not develop what he brings in though.

Regardless, Fox is a lameduck coach and the effort on the field which Jenkins brought up 3 years ago still lingers today. We dont have heart and passion outside of a few players. Other players get it from their coaches and that is how they catch it. Fox's style of leadership just isn't as strong as the Gibbs/Dungy style of leadership he wants to emulate(Not my words, but from another post in the Jenkins thread, though it fits).

I love how the DJ lovers blame the org when its him that getting beat out there on the field. I mean your right they are crazy to believe he is a good player and should have canned his ass but its not there fault he has given up and is a bad player.

Lets just face it. He is better at making it rain then making himself separate for a TD. We all have our talents right...

how has he given up?

oh, that's right. people just make up whatever they want about him and it is true. Jarrett ate his playbook....it must be true.

No matter how bad you think Jake Delhomme was post Tommy John, no matter how crappy you think Jarrett was and still is........none of thoe guys could beat John Fox is a suck competition.

yet, everyone overlooks this very simple thing. There are a few exceptions where players can overcome Fox's death touch....but those are the few great players and teams only get a small few of those caliber guys. You take an average player who needs to be put into position to have success......and Fox will make it nearly impossible for him to succeed.

Jarrett gave up when he asked to be traded. The Panthers have yet to catch onto that. The facts are there is no death touch... No the fact is Jarrett cant beat out anyone that is a true WR. Thats not making anything up... Thats stating facts.

and now here is a random picture to keep your mind off of failure.

He's average, yet there are people in the FO who are very high on him?

oh this makes sense then.

they let peppers walk and get nothing for him, but jarret they get greedy over?

wtf

They franchised him the first year because they didn't want to let him go.

Franchising him again would have been the only way to keep him, and the cost was just too high.

All this said the kid has said nothing against the team and has (other than suspected playbook learning problems) been pretty professional.

Not sure I agree after reading this line:

“I don’t want the fans to think it could be me, because it’s really not me. It’s just, I don’t know, it’s one of those type of situations.

Translation: "It couldn't possibly be my fault."

To which I'd respond "It most assuredly could."
