D Williams possible trade

So by watching us blow this year you know exactly what type of coach we will hire next season and what type of owner we will have when Richardson is gone? You're from the future!!

Your right.

Richardson is going to go against how he believes a football team should be ran and hire Jerry Jones Jr.

Additionally, Barack Obama has just announced he's going to vote for the Republican presidential campaign nominee in the next election, and has even started working to ensure the Republican candidate wins with money from his own pocket.

I believe I made it pretty clear that I wasn't referring to "Building Through the Draft"

This team, from the top-down wants to be a running football team, and no matter how much some people may wanna wish that philosophy away, it's not going to change.

but again, there is not a lot of logic continuing to build to be a running team.....in what is becoming a passing league.

I see them slowly moving toward a more balanced offense under the next coach.

a run oriented team can work just fine. you dont need to be a pass oriented team to win games, but you do need to be able to throw the ball. breaking up these backs because its a "passing league" is a bunch of crap. by the time we could become a passing team the league would be back to a running league.

you break up the RBs b/c it doesn't make sense to invest that kind of money in a backfield. You are putting your investments on the sideline and limiting there touches/impact.

How is making a business decision to ensure your team has a balanced offense that can actually put up some points and compete in this league, being able to attack teams through both the ground and air, equate to hiring Jerry Jones or anything resembling Jerry Jones? I know the events of the past year may give the impression otherwise, but Richardson wants to win, even though he may want to get paid first and foremost.

A more balanced offense, yes, in the aspect that the passing game will be good enough to make defenses pay severely for doing things foolish like putting 8 in the box, or rolling coverage to our best WR.

But the team in general is always going to have more of a focus on the run game, the difference is, this time, we've learned our lesson from putting too much focus on it from a personnel stand point.

You HAVE to keep the defense honest, and we're looking to make teams REALLY regret trying to cheat us with cute tactics like sticking 9 in the box.

Thar crap just ain't gonna fly in the coming years.

Fail to see how that relates at all to Richardson wanting a new coach/owner that shares his system of beliefs in regards to how a football system should be ran.

Given where we're both going to pick in the next draft, the Packers' 2nd will be very close to our 3rd. I hope we'd get more than that for Williams. We got a mid round 2nd for Jenkins who had all sorts of physical and emotional baggage. Williams is a much tastier prospect, especially for a team like GB who are possibly an RB away from the Superbowl.

Well the point of being an owner in the NFL is to build a successful franchise and I imagine the best way to be successful is to win, which is the point of sports in general, and what Richardson clearly stated was his goal when he was awarded the oppurtunity to have this franchise, to win a super bowl. I didn't claim to know just what type of offenses would be in vogue in this league in the future if we traded a running back.
