we have 4. RB is by far our strongest position on our team in a passing league.

When Fox goes so does the run, run, pass, punt offense.

Not.

This team being built to be like the Steelers is coming from the top-down.

The Big Cat isn't going to go out and hire some offensive guru.

Chances are, the new coach is going to be similar to Fox in many ways.

On top of that, the man who the Big Cat appoints to be the Owner of the team after he's gone is going to be a guy whose an advocate of Tough offense as well.

The truth your going to have to accept is, this team is built to be running, physical football team, and it's going to stay that way for a long time.

If you don't like, it well, you can always be a Saints fan.

There is a difference between the "build through the draft" mindset and building your team to play football that suited the league a decade ago.

No matter how people spin it...there is no way to justify spending the type money people would want in the backfield. No point putting your assets on the bench w/ limited touches.....and tons of money invested in them. With a good scheme and offense....you don't need the kind of RB depth we are acquiring.

With that being said, I do believe we could be successful with or without both Dwill and Jstew.

I do think they would take less money to stay together, but i am not sure. I dont know them personally.

D-will is not a #1 or #2 priority for this team, however he is higher than T.Davis coming off of 2 torn ACLs.

The fact that no one wants to accept is, this all depends on the new coach. If he tells J.R. he needs both of them, then they will try to sign them. But if is going to be a pass oriented offense then he might advise him to spend the money elsewhere.

I believe I made it pretty clear that I wasn't referring to "Building Through the Draft"

This team, from the top-down wants to be a running football team, and no matter how much some people may wanna wish that philosophy away, it's not going to change.

a run oriented team can work just fine. you dont need to be a pass oriented team to win games, but you do need to be able to throw the ball. breaking up these backs because its a "passing league" is a bunch of crap. by the time we could become a passing team the league would be back to a running league.

A little thing I like to call:

Watching Panthers football..

So by watching us blow this year you know exactly what type of coach we will hire next season and what type of owner we will have when Richardson is gone? You're from the future!!
