Rumors abound with DeAngelo Williams in the middle because he's a stud running back, his contract is up at the end of the year, Jerry Richardson refuses to pay anyone and Williams will likely test the free agent market.

That being said, a trade now might be a welcome opportunity for Williams to go to a true contender while the Panthers actually get something in return they might use.

I think the guy is a beast and has a 2000 yard season in his legs. Some may say he's getting older, which he is, but not in his legs. He has been fortunate enough to have another back to spell him so he's rarely had the 30-rush game. Number of carries will slow a RB long before yards will.
